5TH Annual Symposium on Hajj and Umrah (ANSHAR 2025)

The ANSHAR 2025 Symposium carries the theme “From Homeostasis to Mabrur: Empowering Future Independent Hajj Pilgrims”, focusing on enhancing the health and well-being of Hajj pilgrims through medical, psychological, and educational perspectives. The topics cover mental resilience among the elderly to maintain psychological stability during the pilgrimage, emotional and psychological health in addressing challenges throughout the spiritual journey, and the application of the International Classification of Functioning (ICF) in assessing disability and health status among pilgrims. Additionally, the symposium highlights the integration of Hajj health education to promote a holistic approach in preparing pilgrims to become healthier, more independent, and spiritually prepared. Through these discussions, ANSHAR 2025 serves as an international academic platform to strengthen global collaboration in Hajj and Umrah health research, contributing to the development of resilient pilgrims both physically, mentally, and spiritually.

The Proceeding of the 3rd Annual Symposium on Hajj and Umrah Medicine (ANSHAR) 2022 is a scientific meeting organized by the Hajj Health Unit, Faculty of Medicine and Health Science, UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang. This international symposium implemented the theme “Heat Emergency on Hajj Pilgrims.” This symposium also aims to provide a scientific vehicle for lecturers, researchers, students, and hajj health science activists to disseminate research results through scientific papers and posters in international screen forums. It provides opportunities to bring together academicians, researchers, and industries to share their new idea and discover different points of view regarding Hajj and Umrah issues. Proceedings of the Annual Symposium on Hajj and Umrah Medicine (ANSHAR) managed and published by the Unit Pengembangan Keunggulan Fakultas, Fakultas Kedokteran dan Ilmu Kesehatan, UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang, Malang, Indonesia. The Proceedings of ANSHAR are published annually in December starting from 2022. ANSHAR would publish original research, a literature review, and short communication.
