Abstract

The development of digital technology in the 21st century has brought significant changes to the characteristics of learners, particularly the digital generation that has grown up alongside information and communication technologies. This condition demands innovation in language learning strategies, including Arabic language instruction, to make the learning process more relevant, interactive, and effective. This study aims to describe innovative Arabic language learning strategies through the integration of technology, the strengthening of digital literacy, and the implementation of modern pedagogical approaches in learning activities at the Special Program for Arabic Language Development (PKPBA) of UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang. This research employed a qualitative approach using a descriptive method. Data were collected through observations of learning activities, interviews with instructors, and analysis of learning documents used in the PKPBA program. Data analysis was conducted through the processes of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing to obtain a comprehensive understanding of the learning strategies implemented. The findings indicate that Arabic language learning in PKPBA has integrated various digital technologies, including online learning platforms, audiovisual media, and interactive applications that support language skills development. Furthermore, the learning process promotes students’ digital literacy through the utilization of internet-based learning resources, digital project-based assignments, and collaborative activities that make use of communication technologies. From a pedagogical perspective, the strategies employed emphasize communicative approaches, activity-based learning (active learning), and contextual approaches that encourage students’ active engagement in language practice. The integration of technology, digital literacy, and modern pedagogical approaches in Arabic language learning at PKPBA has proven effective in enhancing learning motivation, student participation, and the effectiveness of Arabic language skills acquisition. Therefore, the learning model implemented in PKPBA can serve as a reference for developing Arabic language learning strategies that are adaptive to the characteristics of the digital generation in the 21st-century educational era.
