Abstract

Arabic language mastery requires adaptive support for grammar, translation, writing, and conversation. This study explores how ChatGPT assists Arabic Language and Literature students in improving Arabic learning. A qualitative descriptive design was applied using in-depth interviews and screenshot documentation of students’ ChatGPT activities. The data covered Arabic text translation, nahwu term searches, Arabic conversation, and writing support. The findings show that ChatGPT provides fast, interactive, and contextually useful assistance. Students used it to understand texts, clarify grammar, practice dialogue, correct writing, and develop academic ideas. The discussion indicates that ChatGPT supports personalized learning, motivation, and low-anxiety practice, but teacher guidance remains essential. The study contributes practical evidence for integrating ChatGPT responsibly into Arabic language education.
